•Anthony
Aziz and Sam Cucher met in Graduate School in San Francisco,
California and have been working together as a collaborative
creative team since 1991. Throughout their work, there
has always been a thematic thread that ties all their various
projects in art and design together: the impact of new
technology on the human body, perception and conciousness. From
the beginning of their career, A+C have used the computer as
a creative tool, exploring and pushing the boundaries of photography,
digital imaging, installation and video. Since 2003, they have
developed a unique style of digital painting that blends motifs
from Nature with a techno sensibility, creating a sophisticated
contemporary look in which intricate pattern and exquisite color
interact to create an arresting visual effect.
•In
1993 their large-scale photograph “Man with Computer” was
included in the exhibition “The Final Frontier” at
the New Museum of Contemporary Art, New York.
